The Coastal and Lower Shore Project Manager furthers the Conservancy’s strategic goals on the Lower Eastern Shore and along Maryland’s coast, including the coastal bays. Joe works with Land Management staff as needed in biological monitoring, invasive species management, easement compliance monitoring, and conservation planning, as well as working with Land Protection staff and partners to advance strategies such as land acquisition, easements and restoration. The Project Manager also works with conservation staff and the Mid-Atlantic Seascape Team (MAST) to further the goals and objectives of the Mid-Atlantic Seascape in the area of coastal conservation and restoration. The Project Manager supports the activities of the Chesapeake Bay Integrated Landscape group on the lower Eastern Shore of MD and VA dealing with water quality, oyster restoration and aquaculture, and land protection.
