WHO ARE THE COAST KIDS?

Coast Kids Participant
Coast Kids is an environmental education program sponsored by Assateague Coastal Trust. The mission of the program is to help children develop a sense of place - a geographical and ecological awareness that will encourage greater enjoyment of where they live, enhanced interest in the environment, and ultimately, increased stewardship of the Atlantic Coastal Bays. The program is designed for children age 4 to 12, and their families.

A yearly membership starting in May 2010 costs $25 and includes:
- Monthly events such as canoeing, crabbing, or ranger guided nature walks. This year we even offer for the first time a camping weekend with bug hunt and stargazing for the whole family.
- Monthly large format post cards called "Coast Cards" featuring local animals, plants and places.
- A scoop net to catch (and release) critters.
- A red Coast Kids T-shirt
