Coast Kids: Canoeing on the Pocomoke River
Sunday, August 10th from 9 to 10.30 AM, and 11 AM to 12.30 PM (if demand is high)
The Pocomoke River is always a real treat. On a similar canoe trip last year we found lots of turtles, birds, and even a couple of snakes. Life jackets will be provided. No paddling experience required.

- Assateague Island National Seashore
(entrance fee waived)
- North Beach parking lot
(1st left after the entrance booth)
- CleanUp begins at 9 a.m.
On September 13, beach-lovers will gather on Assateague Island to comb the beach. But they won't be collecting seashells, or even scouting for wild ponies. These volunteers will don work gloves and set out with trash bags to clean up the coast.
