Amish Paste Tomato
This variety of tomato hails from the Amish near Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The bright red 8-12 ounce fruits vary in shape from oxheart to rounded plum. The delicious flesh is juicy and meaty, and is excellent for sauce or fresh eating. This tomato is one of Slow Food USA’s Ark of Taste varieties. The plant is indeterminate, and the fruit ripens 85 days from transplant.
