Pink flowers in May- June. Native to dry open woods, rocky slopes and roadside banks. A great native substitute for Dianthus. Compact and easy to grow. Hummingbird and butterfly nectar. Best in dry to average soil in bright shade. Tolerates dry sun and a range of soil and rock chemistries. Best in sun/ pt.shade, requires good drainage. Available in 1 quart pots. Ht: 6 - 12 inches.
