ACT Sip and Science - Vermicomposting and Organic Gardening

Please join ACT with the Worm Expert, Pat Pilling as she shares her trials and tribulations of worm composting, otherwise known as ‘Vermicomposting”. Pat has raised her worms for 20 plus years and will be able to answer any questions you may have about worm composting in the home. She will bring in and display her worm box, so be prepared to get your hands dirty if you want to.

The evening will then progress into a discussion of 'Learning the Basics about Organic Gardening and Farming' from a ground-zero farmer and business co-owner of Chesterfield Heirlooms, Stefanie Barfield. Stefanie will share 'why organic' is better, the do's and don'ts of what has worked at their farm, seed starting, and soil analysis for those who are interested in starting their own garden.
